Geotechnical Engineer - Site Agent
Location: London
One of the country’s leading consultants to the built and natural environment, employing in excess of 1360 people within a diverse geographical spread is looking for a Geotechnical Engineer-Site Agent.
The ideal candidate will have had experience of the site-based co-ordination of field operatives, competency in logging to BS 5930 and factual data management with a ground investigation contractor.
You will have had practical experience in most common ground investigation techniques including the installation of monitoring instrumentation. Be able to co-ordinate site activities with a variety of sub-contractors and achieve quality within timely programming, and have carried out the role of checking and validating preliminary site based geotechnical information with forward transmittal to the office. You will be able to efficiently report to the Contracts manager and other senior project team members on day to day technical, organisational and financial matters and co-ordinate regular site meetings.
The position requires a minimum of 2 years post graduate with specific experience as outlined above, a Degree in Civil Engineering, Geology or Engineering Geology.
London Underground experience and safety training desirable, but not essential.
